Rochdale Boroughwide Housing contact centre and customer service centre at St Alban's House remain open for urgent and emergency cases.

A Rochdale Boroughwide Housing spokesperson said: "We have been receiving a high volume of calls, can we request that unless your call is an emergency please avoid calling so we can keep our lines available. You can email non-urgent repairs to rbh.repairs@rbh.org.uk.

"For general non-urgent general enquiries please email us on customerexperience@rbh.org.uk.

"Our repairs team are treating central heating and hot water jobs as a priority, but due to heavy snow and traffic congestion, our teams may be delayed.

"We currently have over 200 emergency central heating jobs we have all available plumbers, gas servicing and central heating teams out dealing with these emergencies.

"We are prioritising our vulnerable and elderly tenants and families with young children.

"We will also be working this evening and tomorrow to ensure we can respond to these emergency repairs."
