Messy Church in School

Date published: 12 February 2018

The children from St John with St Michael CE Primary School in Shawforth were joined by parishioners from St Johns Church, Facit for a fun filled afternoon of arts and crafts that all linked with The Eucharist.

There were different stations set up as part of the Churches Together "Messy Church" initiative.

Children rotated in groups around each station, making various craft items that linked closely to the Eucharist such as Friendship Bracelets, Prayer Bead Keyrings and Prayer Doves.

It was enjoyed by the children, staff and also the volunteers from the Church.

Rev Lyn Woodall, vicar at St Johns Church, later led an Eucharist Service with all the children in the school hall.
