Date published: 05 February 2018

Firefighters used a hydraulic platform to tackle a fire at College Bank on Saturday.

Four fire engines from Rochdale, Littleborough and Heywood attended.

On arrival crews found the fire was within the bedroom of a flat.

One person had self-rescued from the property.

Along with the hydraulic platform, firefighters used breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and a high rise kit to tackle the fire.
