Man taken to hospital after car hits bollard

An elderly man was injured when a car collided with a bollard on Royle Road in Castleton on Wednesday (31 January) evening.

He was taken to Royal Oldham Hospital with chest pains and difficulty breathing.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “At 9.30pm on Wednesday 31 January 2018, police were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a bollard on Royle Road.

“Emergency services attended and a man was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries. “

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2053 of 31/01/18.

Reports can also be made anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
