Date published: 25 January 2018

A talented young footballer died as a result of a tragic accident, a coroner has ruled.

15-year-old Jordan Moseley, from Middleton, died suddenly at his home in October 2017. He was signed to Accrington Stanley Football Club U16s at the time of his death.

An inquest at Rochdale Coroner’s Court in Heywood heard how asphyxia, fatal pressure on the neck and hanging were given as medical causes of death.

Coroner Joanne Kearsley ruled his death as accidental.
