RBH carol singers bring festive fun

Date published: 18 December 2017

RBH employee volunteers warmed up both their vocal cords and the mulled wine as they spread Christmas cheer with a series of carol concerts across the Rochdale area.

Over 40 carollers split into three teams and visited 11 independent living schemes to entertain residents with carols, conversation, mulled wine and mince pies.

The carollers made sure that each visit provided an exuberant, cheery and, above all, festive hour.

At the conclusion of the singing, everyone shared a drink and stories about their own Christmas memories.

Brian Lonergan, RBH volunteering co-ordinator, said: “The carol singing was a wonderful opportunity for RBH employees who do not normally visit schemes to meet with our residents. As a mutual society we look to be more than just a landlord and days like this help to show that side of us.”
