Adult care rated the best in the region

Date published: 28 November 2017

Adult care has been ranked as one of the best across the north west in the Social Care User Survey, where clients rate the standard and quality of care they receive.

Rochdale was also rated the best performing council in Greater Manchester for service users’ satisfaction with their quality of care, information and advice.

Over 90% of people felt Rochdale Council’s adult services made them feel safe, whilst eight of ten service users said they had control over their daily lives.

Released by the Department for Health in its annual Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework (ASCOF), the data is collected from a survey of service users across the borough.

Councillor Iftikhar Ahmed, cabinet member for adult care, said: “These wonderful results are a credit to the fantastic staff across adult care who, day in, day out, deliver a service to be proud of. The council is delivering pioneering and innovative services which are getting the recognition they deserve. This is the icing on the cake after a year of outstanding achievement across adult care.”
