Rochdale RSPCA needs help for five poorly puppies

Date published: 27 November 2017

Rochdale RSPCA is in need of help after five poorly puppies were handed in at the centre on Redcross Street on Monday (27 November).

The puppies, believed to be around eight weeks old, were handed in by a man who claimed he had found them in the Newbold area, before being rushed to Wendy Lane Vets, where they were warmed up and given intravenous fluids.

Four of the puppies – named Jack Frost, Holly, Joseph and Eve – are back at the RSPCA centre, whilst the fifth, Tiny Tim is still being monitored at the vets. When they are well, staff have confirmed they will be available to adopt.

Staff are now appealing for puppy food, bedding and microwaveable pet mats, or donations for their care.

A representative for the RSPCA said: “We had some poorly puppies brought in by a man who said he'd found them in the Newbold area. Staff rushed them to the vets and four of them are now back at the centre; Tiny Tim is still being monitored.

“We need puppy food, bedding and pet mats that can be microwaved, or donations for their care please.”

Staff are also concerned about the puppies’ mum, and ask for anyone with information to contact the centre.

You can donate to help the puppies any of the RSPCA shops in the borough, at the animal centre or via PayPal using the friends and family option:
