RBH 'exploring options' for former Smallbridge Tenants and Residents Association building

Date published: 24 November 2017

Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) is "exploring options" for the former Tenants and Residents Association building at Stevenson Square in Smallbridge.

The association, which spans two buildings at the square, has been vacant for some time and RBH is keen to look at how the former office units can be used to help people find employment.

A spokesman for RBH said: “At Stevenson Square in Smallbridge, one shop unit is currently vacant and all the other shop units are currently either in use or allocated for use, including two which are used by a local charity. We know that the nature of usage in Stevenson Square means that it sometimes looks like that the number of vacant shop units is higher than the actual figure.

“We are currently looking at how we can use the former TRA office units to provide support to help local people find employment and improve their skills.”
