Langley Theatre Workshop needs more actors for ‘Connections’ project

Date published: 21 November 2017

Langley Theatre Workshop is in need of young male actors aged 13+ to take part in the London National Theatre ‘Connections’ project.

‘Connections’ is an annual festival of new plays for youth theatres and schools which will see performances take place between February and July 2018. In addition to local performances, budding actors also have the chance to perform at a partner theatre.

Langley Theatre Workshop will be performing at a local theatre before a larger performance at the contemporary HOME Theatre in Manchester.

The experience mirrors that of professional theatre companies, giving youths an incredible opportunity to create marketing campaigns, design sets and costumes, operate lighting and sound boards, and stage-manage their performances.

You do have to be aged 13-19 to take part in ‘Connections’, but the youth group is looking for actors aged 12-21 to take part in a variety of their shows,

Langley Theatre Workshop is based at Burnside Community Centre and rehearse every Thursday at 5pm until 6.30pm.

No experience is necessary, just drop in and try a session for free.
