Centre of Wellbeing, Training & Culture work with the Faith Sector Health Conference

Mohammed Sarwar, chief executive of Centre of Wellbeing, Training & Culture, attended the Faith Sector Health Conference on Monday (6 November).

Mr Sarwar said: “It was an excellent opportunity to have an open discussion how the faith sector and local community can work together and to develop a Memorandum of Understanding to improve quality of life.”

Organised by the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership at Audacious Church, Salford, religious leaders from a range of faiths attended to help shape this collaborative venture between the Greater Manchester Faith Sector and the GMHSCP to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.

The conference was chaired by Warren Heppolette, Executive Lead, Strategy & System Development, GMHSCP, with Chief Officer of GMHSCP, Jon Rouse, GMHSCP offering personal and professional perspectives about how faith can promote health and wellbeing.

Other discussions also took place as did networking opportunities plus a range of workshops after refreshments were served.
