The Santa Dash and Dawdle is back and promising to be another Christmas Cracker

Date published: 28 October 2017

The Santa Dash and Dawdle, the fun, frivolous and family friendly Christmas fundraising event that raises money for Springhill Hospice is back on Sunday 10 December.

Last year 600 Santas, along with their four-legged friends, buggies and even various forms of wheeled transport, dashed, dawdled, ambled, strolled and most definitely giggled their way around Hollingworth Lake, and the Hospice is hoping you will join in the festive fun this year.

Lillie Winterbottom, Springhill Hospice event organiser, saidL “Last year families, friends and work colleagues from all over their Borough donned their red and white suits, pulling out all the stops to create a fantastic morning. We had families, individuals, teams and even whole companies getting involved.

"Entries have already started to flood in and it is set to be another wonderful year.

"We are keeping our fingers crossed for a scattering of snow to accompany the Santas and the carols being played by Wardle Community Band to give the event that traditional Christmas feel.”
