Springhill Hospice desperately needs donations

Date published: 28 October 2017

At this time of year more than any, Springhill Hospice desperately needs donations to help raise money over the Christmas period.

Springhill's new Events and Corporate Fundraiser, Sophie Ansley explains: "At this time of the year we really need donations of a variety of different items from chocolate to homebake, bottles of wine and spirits to bathtime smellies, bric-a-brac to good-as-new, all of which will be used to help raise vital funds at our Christmas Fair and other seasonal fundraisers.

"Last year Springhill's Christmas Fair alone raised over £12,000 for the Hospice, your donations could boost that total and with the money raised going to patient care, your donation whether a bar of chocolate, a hamper of festive fair or a bag of unwanted children's toys, will raise money to make a difference to someone in your community."

Donations can be made at Springhill Hospice reception, Springhill Tea Room (both on Broad Lane) and at any of the nine charity shops throughout the borough.

Mark your donations 'Christmas Fundraising Appeal'.

The Christmas Fair is on Sunday 19 November, 11 am - 4pm - with a free park and ride from Gordon Rigg, Kingsway.
