Matt Rush honoured by the Mayor

Matt Rush, from the 37th (Sudden) Scouts was honoured by Mayor and Mayoress Ian and Christine Duckworth on Friday.
The Mayor heard about Matt being awarded a Meritorious Conduct medal by the Scouts and invited him to afternoon tea where he was presented with a Commendation of the Mayor certificate followed by a tour of the Town Hall.
Matt’s original commendation was for rescuing two people from Hollingworth Lake and for prolonging the life of a man who had a heart attack in the street.
