Hamer Community Primary School

Parents, may have seen “Stride” our friendly, oversized walk-to-school foot last Monday, 2 October. Some of you have been asking about the walk to school app. From Monday, children who walk to school will begin to be awarded points. After a month, they will receive their badge which allows them access to the app. If they have completed enough walk to school runs. We hope all parents enjoy the exercise along with their children and it is great that we are all looking after the children’s health in such simple ways, together.

The Reception children will be joining the older children on the main playground from Monday 9 October. Our older children are excited to be joined by their younger Hamer citizens and as always, will be mindful and helpful in the process. We are so lucky to have such great role models further up the school.

On Thursday 5 October our Hamer HLTA’s organised a multi-schools outdoor learning event for the IPLCN schools in our 12-strong collaborative. The event was a huge success and saw members of every school council mixing and working together to enjoy learning outdoors and to network with each other in terms of their school council roles.
