Steve Coogan wins phone-hacking damages

Steve Coogan, the Middleton born actor and stand-up comedian, has received a six-figure sum in damages over phone hacking from Mirror Group Newspapers
The publishers of the Daily and Sunday Mirror, as well as the Rochdale Observer and Manchester Evening News, also issued an apology to Mr Coogan.
Mr Coogan, a Patron of the Lighthouse Project in Middleton, was at the high court in London on Tuesday for the settlement of his action for misuse of private information and said most of the money would be distributed to good causes.
