Tudor Court in Heywood has been officially reopened after extensive refurbishment.
Attending the reopening event were residents and their friends and family, Tudor Court staff, local councillors and health representatives.
The enhanced facilities include a new look ground floor area, utility rooms, a new administration area, refurbished kitchen areas and extra space for residents to relax and recuperate.
Tudor Court offers a short-term step up option away from hospital, supporting individuals from their own homes who require a period of rehabilitation to enable independence and a safe return home.
Councillor Iftikhar Ahmed, cabinet member for adult services, said: “Tudor Court is a fantastic facility, popular with residents and their families.
"We are thrilled to have one of the best health and social care systems in the country and our success is thanks to hard working staff at places like Tudor Court.”
Steve Taylor, managing director of the Bury & Rochdale Care Organisation at The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust said: “We have revamped Tudor Court thanks to the council.”
