Springhill Tea Room
Springhill Hospice Tea Room and Gift Shop will reopen on Wednesday 11 October, after refurbishment work taking slightly longer than originally anticipated.
Having closed the doors on Saturday 2 September, the tea room was expected to reopen on Monday 2 October.
Included in the improvement plans are new toilets with brighter and larger facilities, replacing the ‘dark and drab’ old ones, plus a kitchen expansion with new facilities.
When the tea room reopens, the new kitchen will allow staff to include new additions to the menu.
A spokesperson for the Hospice said: “We are making a few changes to make our customers’ experience even more enjoyable.
"Sorry for any inconvenience but we know you will be pleased with the changes we are making.”
