Purpose Training sponsors Rochdale Sacred Heart Academy for next season

Date published: 14 September 2017

Rochdale Sacred Heart Academy will be sponsored for the upcoming season by Purpose Training.

Andy Diggle, owner of Purpose Training, based in Rochdale, has been involved in the club for around 20 years. He decided to sponsor the Academy after wanting to support the young students joining the second year of the football education programme, which runs at Rochdale Sacred Heart FC.

He commented: "I decided to sponsor the Academy because I used to play with the club alongside Mike [coach]."

Coach Mike Holt said: “This sponsorship of the academy is great. It helps financially as well as raising the profile of the club when we are associated with a company that works with the FA.

“Andy is a big part of the history of Rochdale Sacred Heart and it is a great partnership that has a good feel to it.”

In addition to delivering first aid at work courses and paediatric first aid, Purpose Training have delivered programmes to the Academy students, and have also given defibrillation training to them. The company also supplies the units for grassroots clubs to use on match day.

Purpose Training has been trading for 10 years, working nationwide with the NHS, The FA, Derby County FC and is accredited by the Royal Life Saving Society, Qual Safe and the Institute of First Aiders.
