Nisar Ali sentenced to 19 years in prison

Nisar Ali (24/10/1982) has been sentenced to 19 years in prison having been convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a two-year-old girl from Rochdale was taken to hospital with serious head injuries.
It is understood that the little girl has been left with brain damage and lifelong disabilities after the assault on Daimler Street in Cheetham Hill on Wednesday 11 January.

Appearing at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court on Tuesday (5 September), Ali, of Brideoak Street, Cheetham Hill, was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £170 and has been given a restraining order against three people.
