Lower Falinge Activity Group had a Family Fun Afternoon on Tuesday, attended by Mayor Ian Duckworth and Mayoress Christine Duckworth.
Children enjoyed playing on the bouncy castle, having their face painted and having "extraordinary" designs made out of balloons.
Andy Littlewood, chairman of Lower Falinge Activity Group, said: "The young people raised £500 this summer, by doing various sponsored activities, and they asked if they could have a fun afternoon.
“Planning only started at the beginning of August, so we had a lot of work to do, in a very short period of time.
"I would like to thank our committee for their hard work, to RBH for providing volunteers to help the afternoon run smoothly and to Seddon for their contribution - the children adored Seddy Teddy.
"We are a voluntary group dedicated to enhance the lives of the people who live on Lower Falinge. We work hard to dispel the perceived negatives of Lower Falinge and we look forward to continuing our work."
