Dry weather this weekend with temperatures also above average after a chilly August so far

Although there will be a bit of a split in the weather over the coming days, much of England and Wales will see bright and dry conditions with sunny spells.

Looking ahead to Bank Holiday Monday, Martin Young, Deputy Chief Meteorologist said: “The weather will begin to change from the northwest during Bank Holiday Monday, with increasingly windy, cloudy and wet conditions spreading southeastwards to many northern and western areas of the UK."
