Cardinal Langley over 80% GCSE pass rate

Over 80% of Cardinal Langley students achieved A*-C GCSE grades in Art, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, French, BTEC Health & Social Care, History, ICT, Physical Education, BTEC Sport, Textiles and BTEC Travel & Tourism.

Vanessa Luamba: Grade 9, A*, three As, three Bs, a Grade 6 and a Grade 4

Matthew Hadcroft: Three A*s, two As, two Grade 7s, a Grade 6 and a C

Rebecca Marson: Grade 8, two A*s, four As and a Grade 6

Emily Whitehead: A*,  four As, two Grade 7s, Grade 6 and a C

Jodie Cullen: A*,  five As, two Grade 6s and a Grade5

Aimee-Leigh Halliday: A*, three As, Grade 7, two  Bs and a Grade 6

Joshua Corcoran: Six As, two Grade 7s, Grade 6 and L2D*

John Coogan: Two Grade 9a, Grade 8 and six As*

Headteacher, Mr Bridson, said: "Our students have once again achieved some amazing results and thoroughly deserve their success.

"The majority of subjects are still graded this year as A*-C and in these subjects 70% of all grades were A*-C with 20% A*/A and an amazing 99% pass rate overall.

"This year saw the introduction of the new 1-9 grading system for English and maths which means it isn’t possible to make any direct comparison with previous years but we are very pleased with 63% of the grades being four or above which is described by the Government as a new pass."
