Lyn Sanderson, Assistant Headteacher, said: "We are extremely proud of the class of 2017 at Oulder Hill. Facing tougher new exam courses, they worked really hard and have been rewarded with some exceptional results. They have taken the challenge on and we are very proud of them.

"This year is slightly more complicated as we have English and Maths graded on the 9 to 1 scale and the rest of the GCSEs graded A*-G.

"We are really happy to report that we have gained 12 Grade 9s amongst English and Maths. Grade 9s are exceptionally rare and are only awarded to the top 2-3% of the country. They are above the GCSE A* equivalent, which is a huge achievement and we are incredibly proud of these students.
