Whitworth Care residents are planning an evening of fun and entertainment – thanks to a generous donation by the Deputy Mayor.
Madeline de Souza donated money raised during her time in office to residents of Whitworth Care’s Sunnyside Rest Home.
Madeline was keen that the donation was spent on something that would directly benefit the residents.
Following a meeting with residents, it was decided that they would enjoy a celebration evening together, with their favourite local singer and a delicious buffet tea.
The event will be arranged by staff at Whitworth Care over the coming weeks.
Karen Henderson, Head of Care and Support, said: "The donation from the Deputy Mayor was incredibly generous. The residents are really looking forward to a fantastic evening of song and celebration, and we cannot thank Madeline enough for her kind gesture.”
