Person trapped after collision between heavy goods vehicle and a car

A person was taken to hospital after being trapped when a heavy goods vehicle and a car were involved in a collision on Oldham Road, Middleton on Thursday.
A spokesperson for the fre service said: "At 08:47 on 10 August 10 two fire engines from Oldham and Chadderton, along with the Technical Response Unit and Major Rescue Unit from Ashton-Under-Lyne, went to a road traffic collision with reports of persons trapped.
"On arrival, fire fighters released a casualty using cutting equipment, a hearth kit, step chocks, saw, longboard and hard and soft protection.
"The casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance."
