Work approved to expand Matthew Moss Secondary School
Work to expand Matthew Moss Secondary school in order to provide additional school places has been approved.
The plans will ensure a further 30 new places for the September 2018 intake.
This school expansion is part of a larger project to ensure that the borough has enough school places to meet increased demand over the next ten years.
Councillor Donna Martin, Rochdale Borough Council cabinet member for children’s services, said; “This is an important project which contributes to our overall work to meet school place demand over the next ten years.
"We are investing in children and young people’s education by increasing school capacity, ensuring thousands across the borough can attend the school of their choice.
"We are grateful of the support from the governing body which has been instrumental in this work.”
