Iron Man Russell Brown has been fundraising for Rotary Club of Rochdale East and Mr Brown’s mother, Judith Brown, presented a cheque to the local British Heart Foundation manager Anita Lord on 22 July.
Frank Hauxwell from Rotary Club of Rochdale East said: “The money donated to BHF was raised by Russell from his iron man effort and divided between the club's charities trust and the British Heart Foundation.
“Judith, is not a member of the club, but we asked her to present the cheque as a tribute to her late husband, Bill, a former member of the club.”
