Police warning after four burglaries in two days across Rochdale

Date published: 03 August 2017

Police are warning residents in Rochdale to be vigilant after four burglaries in just two days.

Houses on Hawthorn Road and Rouse Street in Bamford, Rosewood in Norden and in Castleton have been targeted by breaking patio doors, prising open windows and breaking into garages.

Two of the incidents happened overnight, one at 2.30pm and the last at 11pm.

A police spokesperson said: “If you have security lights, put them on at night, if you have an alarm use it, lock the back gate to stop anyone walking round the back of your home. Lock all doors and windows; do not leave vehicle keys on display.

“We can only stop burglaries with your help; do not make it easy for them.”
