Rochdale patients asked to nominate their hospital heroes

Date published: 02 August 2017

Rochdale Infirmary and community services is asking the public to nominate their NHS heroes as part of its annual staff awards event.

If you or a relative have had amazing treatment at Rochdale Infirmary and community services, or if you or your family want to thank a particular doctor, nurse, support worker, or ward that did their best to treat and look after you, then this is your chance.

The Rochdale & Bury Care Organisation is asking the public to nominate hospital staff and teams for the ‘Patients’ Choice Award’ category.

The Patients’ Choice Award gives the general public and Trust members the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ and publicly recognise the outstanding care and treatment given to either them, a relative or close friend. The Care Organisation executive team will then select the winner.

If you have been a patient or visitor at Rochdale Infirmary and community services, you can nominate a staff member, clinical or non-clinical, by submitting an online nomination form via the Trust website at www.pat.nhs.uk

The closing date for nominations is midnight Saturday 30 September 2017.

The winner of the Patients’ Choice Award will be announced at the Trust’s Staff Awards evening on 17 November at the Sheridan Suite, Manchester.

The Trust awards will be hosted by the Chief Executive Sir David Dalton and Chairman Jim Potter.
