Man rescued after falling down embankment

A man who had fallen down an embankment on Bury Road, Rochdale had to be rescued by emergency services in the early hours of Saturday.
A spokesperson for the Fire Service said: "At 1.07am on Saturday, July 29, one crew from Rochdale along with the technical response unit and major rescue unit from Ashton were called.
"Crews rescued the male using ropes, lighting and specialist rescue equipment and looked after him until ambulance crews arrived."
