Healthwatch Rochdale has been highly commended for its work on volunteering by the Healthwatch Network Awards.
The award comes for dedication to training, supporting, and involving volunteers in their activities, and using volunteers to have an impact across the community.
Elaine Grace, Healthwatch Rochdale engagement volunteer manager, said: “We are delighted that our work with volunteers and the impact their involvement has brought across the community has been recognised and we have been highly commended.
"Our volunteers are essential to our work and we are happy to support and provide relevant training so that they can be successful in their role.”
Kate Jones, Healthwatch Rochdale CEO, said: “Volunteers play a vital role in the success of Healthwatch Rochdale and we appreciate the effort and time they give. Volunteers are a valued part of the Healthwatch Rochdale Team whose continued efforts help us ensure the publics voice continues to be heard.”
