Some town centre car parks closed on Saturday

A number of town centre car parks will be closed on Saturday due to a demonstration that is taking place.
Car parks at Rochdale Town Hall, High Street, Whitworth Road, Upper Broadfield and Lower Broadfield are not affected and will remain open to the public.
Mark Widdup, Director of Neighbourhoods at Rochdale Borough Council said: “The council have been informed of a planned demonstration on Saturday and will be working with Greater Manchester Police to facilitate it in a safe and peaceful manner.
"There will be minimal disruption in the town centre, although a number of town centre car parks will be closed on Saturday.
"Town centre car parks which will remain open include Rochdale Town Hall, High Street, Whitworth Road, Upper Broadfield and Lower Broadfield.”
