A concert 'Prosecco at the Parish' at St Mary's Parish Church, High Crompton raised £964.50 for Springhill Hospice.
The concert was the idea of local soprano Elizabeth Phillips - who also helped to entertain the audience recently at the Springhill Summer Serenade concert in the Hospice grounds.
At the church, Elizabeth presented an evening of songs from opera and musical theatre, supported by Saddleworth Male Voice Choir.
Barbara Lloyd, Hospice fundraiser, said: "We would like to thank everyone who supported the concert and helped to make it such a success and especially Elizabeth for her hard work and enthusiasm.
"A special mention also goes to 'CLASP', the group of volunteers responsible for charity links at St Mary's."
