Rochdale Feel Good food factor
Date published: 24 July 2017
Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns next month for its 10th anniversary and along with the music, there is a tasty line-up of food and drink too.
The festival’s food and drink village will be open from 5pm – 10pm on Friday and 11am – 11pm on Saturday with a new layout, seating area and over twenty traders.
Visitors will be able to try mouth-watering food from around the North West, including meaty, veggie and vegan delights.
Take your pick from naan sandwiches, tapas, salads, pizza, barbeque food, American corndogs, fusion quesadillas, pies and for a sweet treat there’ll be pancakes and churros as well as gourmet doughnuts, ice creams, cupcakes and more. There will also be conveniently-located bars with alcoholic and soft drinks available.
This year for the first time there won’t be live cookery demonstrations, with these being moved to a new event - Rochdale Food and Drink Festival - on Saturday 24 March 2018.
Councillor Janet Emsley, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, community and culture at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “Food has always been an important part of the festival, and this year our food and drink village will be packed with a superb variety of traders around the newly paved area in the Town Hall square. We wanted to create something really impressive for when the crowds descend, and along with all the family entertainment and a Victorian carousel it’s going to have a lovely feel this year.”
Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 August, for another showcase of entertainment, food and culture.
