Council set up temporary site for travellers at Belfield Road

Belfield Road
Rochdale Borough Council has set up a temporary site for travellers on Belfield Road, near The Croft Shifa Health Centre.
Peter Maynard, Rochdale Borough Council housing services manager, said: “We’re using the site as a temporary option for travellers when its needed for health or other reasons. The site has waste bins, portable toilet units, a fresh water supply, waste water disposal and is part of our obligations towards the travelling community.”
Travellers have been at the site for approximately two weeks.
