Heywood man charged with murder

A 45-year-old man is due to appear before Rochdale Magistrates Court on the 22 February 2006 charged with one count of murder and four counts of attempted murder.
Thomas Dooley (DOB 19/03/1960) of Grosvenor Street in Heywood was charged with the offences on Tuesday 21 February.
At approximately 9.30pm officers were called to Bury Old Road following reports of a domestic incident at a house. Officers attended and found a 50-year-old man with a stab wound to his neck. A 52-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were also taken to hospital suffering from leg injuries during the same incident.
Shortly after this incident officers were called to a house on Grosvenor Street where they found a 69-year-old woman with several stab wounds to her body. She was taken to Fairfield Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
Officers also discovered the body of a 30-year-old woman, formally identified as Susan Crane, inside a different house on Grosvenor Street.
