Teenagers arrested following police pursuit in early hours

Three people have been arrested following a police pursuit in Rochdale in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 14 February 2006.
An 18 year-old man from Heywood, a 22-year-old man from Rochdale and a 17-year-old boy from Rochdale were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. It is believed the 17-year-old was driving.
At around 2.30am police pursued a red Ford Mondeo from Shaw in Oldham, around the Rochdale area, into Bacup in Lancs, and back into Rochdale. A stinger device was deployed on Manchester Road near Rochdale town centre and the Mondeo was abandoned on Holborn Street shortly after 3am. GMP's helicopter, India 99, was deployed during the pursuit.
Three people were arrested close to the scene. No one was injured.
It is believed the car had been stolen in West Yorkshire.
Investigations are ongoing.
