Pick up a pocket-sized Trainguide for Rochdale stations

Date published: 17 December 2007

A pocket-sized 'Trainguide' is available to Rochdale's rail passengers for five of the borough's train stations.

Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive has produced the guides for heavily used commuter stations to coincide with the new winter timetables, which will be in force until May.

Michael Renshaw, GMPTE's Interim Service Delivery Director, said: "Knowing what services and connections are available from a station can make all the difference when planning a journey.

"These guides give passengers all the essential information about their local station and are small enough to keep with you in a purse or wallet."

As well as featuring station arrival and departure times, the guides include a route plan indicating journey times to Manchester and information about connecting bus services.

Maps show passengers how to make their way around the stations. Other information includes ticket office opening hours and phone numbers for Traveline and the 'How's my Training Running?' hotline.

The guides are now available for Rochdale, Castleton, Littleborough, Milnrow and Smithy Bridge train stations.

Passengers can pick up a copy at their local station or, in the case of unstaffed stations, from local post offices or libraries. Copies are also available from Manchester's Piccadilly and Victoria train stations.
