James Peter Gavin: Former social worker charged with sexual offences

James Peter Gavin, a former social worker from Rochdale, has been charged with sexual offences - between 1970 and 1978 a boy was sexually assaulted in Rochdale including at Foxholes Children’s Home.
Gavin (20/04/1936), of College Bank Way, has been charged with 13 counts of indecent assault on a boy under 14 and one count of attempted buggery of a boy under 16 (Sexual Offences Act 1956).
He is due to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 9 February 2017.
