Appeal for witnesses following a fail to stop in Middleton
Date published: 24 January 2006
Traffic officers are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop traffic collision close to the three arrows roundabout in Middleton this morning, Tuesday 24 January 2006.
At approximately 7.20am a 39 year old woman approached the roundabout on a pedal cycle from Heywood Old Road, heading towards Middleton Road, when she was in collision with a car which was exiting the M60 anticlockwise at
junction 19.
The cyclist was thrown into the air and landed on the bonnet of the car.
She was taken to North Manchester General Hospital suffering minor injuries, including a minor head injury. It is believed her head injury could have been considerably worse had she not been wearing a cycle helmet.
Anyone with any further information on the collision should contact the area 3 Road Policing Unit at Rochdale on 0161 856 8473.
