Hopwood Hall College Graduation Ceremony 2006

Date published: 17 January 2006

On the evening of Friday 13 January Hopwood Hall College hosted its thirteenth Higher Education Graduation Ceremony at Rochdale Town Hall, where over one hundred students of the College were officially awarded their qualifications by MP Paul Rowen. The ceremony was also attended by Jim Dobbin, Labour MP for Middleton and Heywood, the Learning and Skills Council for Greater Manchester and the Mayor and Mayoress of Rochdale.

Dressed in traditional cap and gown, the graduands filled the foyer along with many proud friends and relatives who came along to see the ceremony.

In the thirteen years that the College has been offering higher education to the local community, over 1,200 people have gained qualifications en route to better job prospects or as a means to further study at degree or post graduate level.

Open Evenings for the College take place on Thursday 26 January at the Middleton Campus and Tuesday 24 January at the Rochdale Campus, where information on Higher Education opportunities as well as Further Education, will be available. Call the College for a prospectus on 0161 643 7560 or email enquiries@hopwood.ac.uk. Alternatively, log on to www.hopwood.ac.uk for general information on the College and courses offered.
