Kentmere Academy, in Smalbridge, has become one of the best primary schools in the country.
The Department for Education ranking places Kentmere as number one nationally when compared to all similar English primary schools.
Since becoming part of the Wardle Trust, Kentmere Academy has flourished. Alongside these recent rankings, Kentmere was also the highest achieving primary school in the Rochdale Borough in the 2016 primary school league tables.
Kentmere Academy achieved 91% for primary school performance at the end of 2016 against a national average of 53%.
