Shop basement fire in Heywood

A fire in the basement of a shop in Manchester Road, Heywood was dealt with by firefighters from Rochdale and Heywood on Friday (4 November).
Three fire engines were sent and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and a positive pressure fan to tackle the fire.
The fire is thought to have started accidentally due to an electrical fault.
