Cigarette causes bedroom blaze on Drake Street

A fire in a bedroom of a house on Drake Street is believed to have been caused after the occupier fell asleep with a lit cigarette in bed.
Fire services from Rochdale and Heywood attended at 9.37pm on Saturday (29 October).
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and a woman escaped the blaze with minor smoke inhalation.
