Phil Jordan having his beard shaved for charity
Phil Jordan beat his £500 target for Cancer Research by raising more than £700 with his beard shave on Saturday (22 October).
He grew out his usual trimmed look for around 16 weeks before getting a clean shave for Stand Up To Cancer at Fades and Blades in Littleborough.
Phil, who volunteers at Rochdale’s Cancer Research charity shop, raises money for various charities because he loves to help make other people’s lives easier, despite his own disabilities. He has previously had his head shaved and his legs waxed all in the name of charity.
He said: “I’ve not thought about what I’ll do next, but it will probably be something at the charity shop.
“I’m very proud and happy to have raised more each year.”
