A man was hit by a train at Rochdale Railway Station at 11.23am (Sunday 2 October).
The man was treated at the scene for his injuries before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
Rail services were suspended whilst emergency services rescued the man.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “We were called to Rochdale station shortly after 11.20am on Sunday (2 October) following reports of a person being struck by a train.
“We attended, along with colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service, and a man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
