New School Sod Cutting Ceremony

On Friday 14 October Heywood and Middleton MP Jim Dobbin and Chair of Governors Councillor Nick Maher cut a ceremonial sod to mark the building of a new joint services school on Regent Street in Heywood. They were joined by representatives from New Heart for Heywood, the school governors, contractors Galliford Try and three children from each of the amalgamating schools which are Darnhill County Primary, Mossfield Primary and Bullough Moor Primary Schools. Also present at the ceremony were representatives from Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council’s Education Services.
