Collision on Milnrow Road

The occupants of two cars involved in a car crash at the junction of Kingsway/Albert Royds Street/Milnrow Road were fortunate to escape unhurt.

It is understood the driver of a blue Corsa was turning right from Kingsway into Milnrow Road and drove into the wrong line, into the oncoming traffic, and hit a black Kia head on.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.40pm [Tuesday 10 May] to a two vehicle traffic accident involving a Blue Corsa and a black Kia.

"The road was blocked for a time due to heavy traffic and waiting for the cars to be recovered.

"No one was injured.”
