Sandra Andrews shortlisted in national care awards

Fostering Contribution of the Year
Sandra Andrews from Rochdale, has been shortlisted for Fostering Contribution of the Year, alongside two other finalists.
Nominated by a local childcare group, Sandra has been a foster carer for the last five years, fostering children aged from birth to 18 years, either short or long term. In the past year she has had three children in her care.
The winner of this category and seven others will be revealed at a lunchtime event held at a five star Central London location on Thursday 10 March.
Each of the categories reflect the diversity of caring in all its many forms.
There will also be a final award for someone that will be chosen on the day from all of the finalists, this is the Towergate Unsung Hero Award.
The ceremony on 10 March will be hosted by the British comic actress and writer Sally Phillips, who has starred in some of the nation’s best loved films and television programmes, including Bridget Jones’ Diary, Smack the Pony and Miranda.
